Chris Bencomo switches gears from athlete to coach after having finished his eligiblity with the Bruins in 2008. He will assist coach Anthony Curran with the pole vaulters during the 2009 season.
While at UCLA, Bencomo was a three-time West Region qualifier in the vault with top marks of 17-1 outdoor and 16-7.50 indoor. He graduated in 2008 with a Bachelors Degree in Anthropology.
