Competing at my first senior nationals in 1999

What was your favorite moment from last season?
Winning Pac-10s for the first time in UCLA history

Who inspired you to swim?
My dad motivated me to join a team.

How old were you when you first started swimming?

Do you have any pre-meet superstitions?
I have to eat the same breakfast, same warm-up right before my race

If you could change anything about your sport, what would you change?
Morning workouts at 6 am, Christmas training, getting wet

If you could give advice to a young swimmer, what would it be?
Hard work and dedication pay off

Who is your favorite former UCLA athlete?
Earl Watson - he's an inspirational and phenomenal basketball player and a role model for young kids.

Who do you admire most in life?
My nana - she's so energetic and strong. She's the most giving person I've ever known.

If you could have superpowers what would it be?
To be able to go back in time

If you could travel in time, where would you go?
The 50's - all the movies I've seen that were set in that era seem so carefree and happy.

If you were granted three wishes, what would they be?
1. My friends and family are happy. 2. I'm happy. 3. I'll be successful

What is your pet peeve?
Whistling and when people smack their gum

What is your favorite childhood memory?
Being entertained by my little brother

Drinking too much coffee
