LOS ANGELES - Ryan Deeter has captured first-team Pac-12 Baseball All-Academic Team honors, and Christoph Bono, Brian Carroll, Max Schuh and Zack Weiss have secured honorable mention acclaim.

Deeter, a redshirt junior right-handed pitcher, was also named a first-team Pac-12 All-Academic selection in 2012. He has gone 2-0 with a 4.24 ERA in 17.0 innings this season, making 21 relief appearances.

Deeter has also earned Capital One Academic All-District VIII accolades this season, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) in May.

Weiss secured honorable mention acclaim for the second consecutive season, while Bono, Carroll and Schuh have been named all-academic selections for the first time in their careers.

A junior right-hander from Irvine, Calif., Weiss has gone 2-1 with a 2.50 ERA in 38 appearances. Carroll, a junior outfielder from San Diego, has batted .263 in all 56 games.

Bono, a redshirt freshman outfielder from Palo Alto, Calif., has batted .242 with two home runs in 45 games, making 14 starts. Schuh has pitched 2.1 scoreless innings in 12 relief appearances.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
