LOS ANGELES - The No. 6 UCLA women's rowing team will host No. 1 USC at Ballona Creek in Marina del Rey on Saturday morning for the annual crosstown dual meet.
UCLA will host this year's event, with the women's races to begin at 7:45 a.m. The Bruins and Women of Troy will race two varsity eights, two varsity fours and one novice eight.
The Bruins will race its second and third varsity four crews against USC at 7:45 a.m., followed by the novice eight race at 8 a.m. The varsity eight race will begin at 8:15 a.m., with the second varsity eight at 8:30 a.m. and the varsity four at 8:45 a.m.
Both schools' men's rowing programs will race from 8:50 a.m. until 9:15 a.m.
Following the morning's races, UCLA will honor its senior rowers with a special "Senior Day" ceremony at the UCLA boathouse.
Entering this weekend's action, the Bruins are one of five Pac-12 women's rowing programs ranked in the CRCA's top 10 teams.
Admission is free at UCLA rowing events. The Aquatic Center is located at the end of Fiji Way, behind the Villa Venetia Apartment Complex. Parking at the boathouse is available on non-race days only. Parking is also available off Fiji Way at the Fisherman's Village (five minute walk from boathouse) and at Dock 52 (15 minute walk from boathouse).
