Jenkins received her first conference honor after scoring a goal in each game to help lead UCLA to the Notre Dame adidas Invitational championship. Jenkins was named the Offensive MVP of the tournament and named to the all-tournament team after scoring the tying goal in the Marquette game and the winning goal in the Notre Dame victory. The Bruin freshman has scored a goal in every game so far this season, and she leads the team with four goals and eight points. Her four-game goal-scoring streak is the longest by a Bruin since Lauren Cheney scored in six consecutive games from Oct. 14-Nov. 4, 2007.
Mewis scored the game-winning goal in the 2-1 victory over Marquette, scoring in the 61st minute to break a 1-1 tie. The goal was Mewis' first of the year. Killion had an assist on Jenkins' game-tying goal against Marquette and played 90 strong minutes in both victories. Both Mewis and Killion were named to the Notre Dame adidas Invitational All-Tournament Team.
The Bruins, which are now ranked No. 2 by Soccer America and No. 3 by the NSCAA, will face No. 1 North Carolina on Friday at the Duke Nike Classic.
