Having a great group of girls to train with and compete with.

Why did you choose UCLA?

UCLA had a great balance of challenging academics and competitive athletics.

How did your family react to your college decision?

Very supportive. My dad was happy I would be so close to home.

When did you begin competing and why?

Both my parents were runners at my high school. My mom had the 2 mile record and I knew I wanted to compete like her.

My coaches have always given me confidence to compete at any level.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

Not quitting.

What has been the biggest adjustment you've had to make as a college athlete?

The level of competition.

What goals do you have for this season?

I want the cross country team to qualify for nationals.

Have you decided on or what is your major and why?

I’m a history major and I plan to teach after graduation.

What are your plans after college?

I plan on getting my masters degree and my teaching credential.

Is there any other athlete, either professional or collegiate, that inspires you?

Kelsey Smith for showing that there is success after adversity. It just takes hard work. And my high school coach Christian Cushing Murray.

Chocolate chip cookies.

A lot of Country Music.
