With a pair of victories in its first two starts, the top-ranked UCLA women’s golf team travels to the Stanford Intercollegiate ready to face its toughest challengers of the season.
Twelve of the 15 teams in the field are ranked, and five are ranked in the Top 10. In addition to the No.1 ranked Bruins, No. 2 USC, No 3 Stanford, fifth-ranked Washington and No. 8 Pepperdine will be vying for the team championship.
UCLA has won this tournament twice: in 2011 and 2008.
Head Coach Carrie Forsyth has announced the following lineup: sophomore Louise Ridderstrom will play in the No. 5 spot, followed by senior Ani Gulugian at No. 4. Junior Erynne Lee will play at No. 3 and freshman Bronte Law, ranked 18th nationally will play at No. 2. At No. 1 freshmen Alison Lee will lead UCLA. Alison Lee also leads the nation in scoring average at 69.0 and is ranked No.1 nationally. Erynne Lee, whose season scoring average is 69.6, is ranked second in the nation.
In addition, junior transfer Brittany Mai will play as an individual for the Bruins.
The Stanford Golf Course will play to a par of 71 over 6,130 yards.
