LOS ANGELES - Jordan Adams scored a game-high 25 points to lead UCLA past Cal State San Bernardino, 96-66, in the team's first of two exhibition games on Wednesday night.

The Bruins used a 14-0 run early in the second half to secure a 65-51 lead and outscored the visiting Coyotes by a 54-27 margin after halftime.

Wednesday night's contest marked the first game at UCLA for new head coach Steve Alford, who enters his 23rd year as a college head coach.

The Bruins had six players scoring in double figures. Norman Powell and Zach LaVine finished with 15 points each, while David Wear had a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Kyle Anderson had UCLA's other double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds), and Tony Parker tallied 10 points with three blocks and three rebounds.

Khleem Perkins led Cal State San Bernardino with 17 points, and Lacy Haddock totaled 12 points.

UCLA outrebounded the Coyotes by a 53-35 margin and shot 54.0 percent from the field. The Bruins made 1 of 12 three-point attempts, with Powell sinking the lone trey for UCLA.

LaVine and Powell each tallied a game-high three steals.

Wednesday night's exhibition contest marked the first game in a UCLA uniform for four Bruins -- sophomore Kory Alford and freshmen Bryce Alford, Noah Allen and Zach LaVine.

UCLA returns to action with its second exhibition game on Monday, hosting Cal State San Marcos in Pauley Pavilion. Game time is 7:30 p.m. That contest will be televised live by Pac-12 Networks.
