The UCLA women’s golf program signed three local players, Hall of Fame Head Coach Carrie Forsyth announced this week.
Expected to enroll and play for the Bruins beginning in the Fall of 2014 are Lydia Choi (Beverly Hills, CA / Beverly Hills HS), Aliea Clark (Carlsbad, CA / Academy of Our Lady of Peace) and Erin Choi (Torrance, CA / West Torrance HS).
All three are veterans of the AJGA junior golf circuit.
"With these three signings this week, our program has immensely improved the competition among its players," said Forsyth. "We will carry nine players next season, which is the most we've had in a long time, and every player will compete for a spot on the traveling squad.
"All three of these players are outstanding young women who will represent UCLA well both on and off the course," Forsyth continued. "We are very appreciative that they chose to sign with UCLA."
Lydia Choi was most recently ranked 31st in the nation after being ranked 103rd a year ago.
