Juniors Leo Stolz and Earl Edwards Jr. have been named to the 2013 Soccer America MVP Team, as announced by the publication today. Stolz received first-team honors while Edwards was named to the second team.

Stolz became the sixth UCLA player all-time to be named Pac-12 Player of the Year in 2013 and was a finalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy, given out to the nation's top collegiate men's soccer player. He led the Pac-12 conference in points (30) and goals (11) and finished tied for the team lead in assists with eight. Overall, he finished the season ranked 13th nationally in points, 20th in goals scored and 25th in assists. Stolz also ended the season with four game-winning goals, another conference best, and posted three multi-goal games on the year.

In addition, Stolz recorded at least one point in 10 of his final 14 matches and was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week on four separate occasions. He helped lead UCLA to the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2003 and was named a first-team All-Pac-12 selection this past season as well. Finally, Stolz earned first-team All-America honors from the NSCAA, Top Drawer Soccer and College Soccer News.

Edwards served as the team co-captain in 2013 and earned first-team All-Pac-12 and NSCAA All-West Region honors.  He started all 20 matches for the Bruins, making 73 saves and logging a 1.13 GAA in 1,908 minutes. Additionally, Edwards tallied seven shutouts on the season, which was good for second-most in the Pac-12. In particular, he was key down the stretch in leading the Bruins to the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, making a season-high seven saves four times in the final seven regular season games.
