UCLA (13-1; 1-0 Pac-12) was never really threatened in Friday's match, cruising to a pair of wins in doubles to open up the match with a 1-0 lead. After top-ranked Robin Anderson and Jennifer Brady took an 8-5 win at court No.1, the point was clinched at the No. 3 position, where Courtney Dolehide and Chanelle Van Nguyen were 8-2 winners over Callie Craig and Sarah Pham.
The Bruins proved dominant in singles action as well, taking first sets at all six positions. Wins by Anderson (court No. 1) and Van Nguyen (court No. 4) quickly put the team up 3-0. The match was clinched at the No. 2 position, as Brady rolled to a 6-2, 6-0 win over Pham to give UCLA an insurmountable 4-0 lead.
With the match already decided, Bruin sophomore Catherine Harrison accounted for the team's fifth point of the afternoon when she downed Craig, 6-4, 6-3 at court No. 3.
Following Harrison's victory, play was suspended at court Nos. 5 and 6.
Next up for UCLA is a match with Colorado on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in Boulder.
