UCLA incoming freshman Sean Bouchard has been selected to compete in the 2014 West Coast League All-Star Game, as announced by the League today. The WCL All-Star Game will take place on Monday, July 21, at Kiger Stadium in Klamath Falls, Ore. and Bouchard will play for the North squad.
Bouchard, an infielder from San Diego, Calif., has hit .329 in 19 games for the Walla Walla Sweets this summer. He has scored 10 runs for the Sweets as well, logging three doubles, a triple, a home run and 15 RBI. In high school, Bouchard earned three varsity letters at Cathedral Catholic High School, hitting .379 with 23 RBI during his senior season. Additionally, he hit nine home runs while posting an on-base percentage of .439 in 2014. Bouchard also earned third-team Perfect Game Underclass All-American honors in 2013 and was ranked No. 58 on Perfect Game USA’s list of Top 500 High School prospects for 2014.
