Hundley Named to Manning Award Watch List

NEW ORLEANS, La. – UCLA redshirt junior Brett Hundley was one of 32 of the nation’s top college quarterbacks named to the Manning Award Watch List on Thursday. The Manning Award, sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl, will utilize a voting panel of national media and each of the Mannings, to select their award winner after the bowl games.

The Manning Award was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in honor of the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning. It is the only quarterback award that includes the candidates’ bowl performances in its balloting.

Hundley has also been named to the Davey O’Brien and Maxwell Award watch lists.The Chandler, Ariz., native has run for or thrown for a touchdown in each of his 27 games. He enters 2014 ranked third on the school career list in touchdown passes (53) and total offense (7,914) while ranking fourth in passing yards (6,811). In 2013, the redshirt junior rated among the nation’s best in completion percentage (14th-.668), passing efficiency (20th-152.9), touchdown passes (23rd-24), points responsible for (14th-216) and total offense (23rd-293.8).

Hundley became the first Bruin to throw for, run for and catch a pass for a touchdown in the same game during the 2013 contest at Utah. He finished the season with one interception in his last 158 passing attempts and none in his last 77 passes. His completion percentage of .668 was the highest by a Bruin starter since 1983. He was the first Bruin quarterback to lead the team in rushing (748 yards) since 1964.

Parking & Directions: All-day campus parking is $5, cash only. To get to CSUSB from the LA area take I-10 East to I-215 North. Exit at University Parkway in San Bernardino and turn right. Proceed along University Parkway and turn right on Northpark Blvd then make a left on Coyote Blvd.

Fans should park in lots G and H. A Parking Services Information Booth is located at the university entrance and pay parking kiosks are located throughout the lots to purchase a $5 daily parking permit.

San Bernardino Ticket Deal: All fans in attendance will be able to purchase 50% off tickets for the UCLA vs. Memphis home opener on Sept. 6! Visit the ticket table at practice to receive two General Admission tickets for $20 or two Reserved tickets for $40.

Please note: There will NOT be an opportunity to obtain autographs at this event. However, season ticket holders will be able to get team autographs at the Season Ticket Holder Appreciation event on August 23 on UCLA's campus.

The Bruins' 2014 football season kicks off on Saturday, Aug. 30 at Noon ET at Virginia. UCLA's home opener will take place on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 7pm at the Rose Bowl against Memphis.
