The UCLA women’s golf team, ranked No.1 by GolfStat and GolfWeek, travels to Hawai’i to compete in the Pac-12 Preview at the Nanea Golf Course in Kohala, HI, Nov. 4-5.
The Bruins, who lead the country in scoring average, have won two of their first three starts: the Mason Ruddolph Championship and the Betsy Rawls Invitational. They placed second to USC, ranked No.1 in the Coaches poll, at the Stanford Intercollegiate, and will be challenged by the Trojans again in Hawai’i.
Hall of Fame Head Coach Carrie Forsyth has announced the following lineup: senior Ani Gulugian, junior Erynne Lee, sophomore Louise Ridderstrom and freshmen Alison Lee and Bronte Law. All five players are ranked among the Top 75 collegians in the country, led by Alison Lee at No. 1 and Erynne Lee at No. 2.
Alison Lee has won individual titles in her last two events and boasts a nation-leading scoring average of 68.8 in nine rounds. Eight of those rounds are under 70. Erynne Lee won the Mason Rudolph title and is averaging 69.7.
The Pac-12 Preview is a 54-hole event, and 36 holes will be played on Mon., Nov. 4. The Nanea GC will play to a par of 73 over 6,112 yards.
