The Bruins were in second place, trailing USC by five shots with Pepperdine lurking in third. UCLA posted a 36-hole team score of 578 (+2), including a second round of 286 (-2), and trailed the top-ranked Trojans, who were leading at 573 (-3). The Waves were third at 581 (+5), followed by Oklahoma State at 591 (+15) and fifth-place Washington at 600 (+24).
Individually for UCLA, freshman Alison Lee led the Bruins with a score of 140 (-2) and was tied for second place after two rounds of 70 (-2). Junior Erynne Lee was tied for 12th at 146 (+2) following her rounds of 77-69. Freshman Bronte Law posted rounds of 76-72—148 (+4) and was tied for 17th and senior Ani Gulugian was tied for 31st at 153 (+9) after carding rounds of 78-75. Sophomore Louise Ridderstrom was disqualified in the second round, but posted a 69 (-3) in the first round.
USC’s Doris Chen was the 36-hole leader at 139 (-5) after posting scores of 72-67.
