The sixth-ranked UCLA women’s golf team begins the 2013-14 season at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, TN.
Hall of Fame Head Coach Carrie Forsyth begins her 15th season with strong team that includes three returning letterwinners and two accomplished freshmen. Forsyth will be aiming for her 50th career victory at UCLA and fourth in this event. UCLA won this event in 2011, 2008 and 2007 and also has recorded three runner-up results.
Highlighting the list of returning players is junior Erynne Lee, a two-time All-American with two career collegiate victories. Also returning are senior Ani Gulugian, a two-time Honorable Mention All-American, and sophomore Louise Ridderstrom, who earned Scholar All-America honors last season from the WGCA.
Freshmen Alison Lee of Valencia and Bronte Law of Stockport, England will bolster the Bruins’ lineup. Lee, a five-time AJGA First-Team All-American, advanced to the semifinals of the 2013 U.S. Women’s Amateur. Law is a veteran of the European amateur circuit, who was a member of the 2013 Junior Solheim Cup Team and the 2012 Great Britain & Ireland Curtis Cup championship squad.
The Vanderbilt Legends Club North Course will play to a par of 72 over 6,337 yards.
