The top-ranked UCLA women’s golf team captured its second team title in as many starts Tuesday, scoring a convincing six-shot victory at the Betsy Rawls Invitational.

The Bruins posted a team score of 275 (-13) in the final round for a 54-hole score of 842 (-22). UCLA’s third round score set a single round school record and shattered the tournament record by five strokes. The Bruins’ three-round total also broke the tournament record by 21 shots and was two off the school record.

The victory was also the 51st career tournament title for Hall of Fame Coach Carrie Forsyth.

Arizona State finished second at 848 (-16), followed by Miami at 859 (-5) and Iowa State at 862 (-2). SMU captured fifth place with a score of 872 (+8).

UCLA’s Alison Lee won her first collegiate tournament title in grand fashion. The Valencia freshman set a 54-hole tournament individual record with her score of 204 (-12) and tied the single round tournament record with a score of 67 (-5) on Tuesday.

Teammate Bronte Law also tied the single round record with a 67 in the final round and finished tied for second at eight-under par 208. Sophomore Louise Ridderstrom placed 16th at even par 216 following her round of 72 (E), and senior Ani Gulugian finished 34th at 221 (+5) after a round of 71 (-1).

Junior Erynne Lee posted a final round score of 70 (-2), and Brittany Mai, playing as an individual, tied for 93rd.
