UCLA Earns 20th Straight NCAA Women's Golf Regional Berth

LOS ANGELES, CA -- The second-ranked UCLA women’s golf program earned the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Central Regional Monday, marking the 20th consecutive regional berth for the Bruins.

UCLA will be playing at Oklahoma State’s Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, OK, May 9-11 with 23 other teams, including six automatic qualifiers. The University of Arizona, California and Colorado are also representing the Pac-12 Conference. The top eight teams and two individuals from each regional will advance to the 2014 NCAA Women’s Golf Championship in Tulsa, OK, May 20-23.

The Bruins, who have won three tournaments and recorded podium finishes in four others, are seeking their eighth regional title under Hall of Fame Coach Carrie Forsyth. During Forsyth’s 15-year tenure, the Bruins have recorded 11 podium finishes at the regional tournament, and have produced six individual champions.
