Eight Golfers Named to Pac-12 All-Academic Teams

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Eight UCLA men’s and women’s golfers were named to the Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention Teams, the conference announced this morning.

To make the P-12 All-Academic Team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically, have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and play a minimum number of rounds.

Men’s golfers included, senior Anton Arboleda (3.176, History), juniors Matt Pizzotto (3.024, Sociology) and Preston Valder (3.007, Political Science), and sophomores Lorens Chan (3.216, Economics) and Jay Hwang (3.151, Economics).

Women’s golfers included senior Ani Gulugian (3.053, History), junior Erynne Lee (3.175, Pyschology) and sophomore Louise Ridderstrom (3.416, International Development Studeis).

Six of the eight players have earned a spot on the Director’s Honor Roll during the 2013-14 academic year and both seniors are scheduled to graduate in June..
