UCLA head football coach Jim Mora and Athletic Director Dan Guerrero will present a jersey to the Pasquale family - parents Mel and Laurie and brother AJ - during the break between the first and second quarters. The presentation will take place next to the 36, Pasquale's number, that will be painted on the field.
Thanks to the generosity of adidas and the UCLA Store, fans will be able to pay tribute to Pasquale by purchasing t-shirts with the number 36 on the front. 100 percent of the sales will go directly to the Nick Pasquale Foundation (nickpasqualefoundation.com). The shirts will be sold at UCLA Store locations on game day at the Rose Bowl for $20, as well as online at UCLABruins.com.
Additionally, blue towels with 36 printed on it will be distributed at the entrance gates, courtesy of the UCLA Athletic Department and Gorilla Marketing.
Pasquale, a redshirt freshman wide receiver from San Clemente, Calif., passed away on Sept. 8 at age 20. He was known as an exemplary teammate who practiced each and every day with unrelenting effort and passion. On August 31, his dream of playing at the Rose Bowl for UCLA was achieved when he entered the game versus Nevada. He will be missed by all.
