UCLA, Oklahoma Schedule Football Series in 2018, 2019
By: UCLA Athletics
UCLA and Oklahoma have scheduled a home-and-home football series in 2018 and 2019, the schools announced on Wednesday.

The Bruins will travel to Norman, Okla. for the first game of the series on Sept. 8, 2018 and will host the Sooners at the Rose Bowl the following season on Sept. 14, 2019.

"Now more than ever, it’s important for UCLA to face marquee non-conference opponents," said UCLA Athletic Director Dan Guerrero. "With Oklahoma Football recognized nationally and the new playoff system beginning next season, this is a great matchup for not only our team, but for our fans as well."

The Bruins and Sooners have met four times overall, with unranked UCLA defeating 21st ranked Oklahoma 41-24 in their most recent contest on Sept. 17, 2005 at the Rose Bowl. Prior to that game, the Sooners had won the previous three meetings, twice in Norman (in 2003 and 1986 when Oklahoma was ranked No. 1 in the nation), and once in Pasadena (1990).

Earlier this year, UCLA announced a home-and-home series with Michigan in 2022 and 2023. Next season's non-conference slate has the Bruins playing at Virginia on Aug. 30, at home vs. Memphis on Sept. 6 and at AT&T Stadium in Arlington vs. Texas on Sept. 13.
