NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – UCLA linebackers Eric Kendricks and Myles Jack were named to the 2014 Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List, the Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation announced Wednesday afternoon. The Bruin duo was among 42 nominees for the 11th annual Lott IMPACT Trophy.
Kendricks led the Bruins in tackles for the second straight season and ranked third in the Pac-12 while starting all 11 games he played in last year. For his efforts he was an honorable mention all-conference selection and was a quarterfinalist for the Lott IMPACT trophy in 2013.
Jack was a finalist for the Paul Hornung Award as the nation’s most versatile player and was named a first-team All-America by Athlon Sports and honorable mention All-America by SI.com. Jack was named both the Offensive and Defensive Freshman of the Year in the Pac-12 and was a second-team All-Pac-12 selection.
UCLA All-American and NFL first round pick Anthony Barr won the award last season. Barr was the first player from UCLA to ever win the award.
The nominees will be judged on both their performance on the field and their character off the field. IMPACT stands for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.
