San Bernardino, Calif. - UCLA head coach Jim Mora put the Bruin football team through its first practice of fall camp on Wednesday afternoon at Cal State University San Bernardino. It marked the first of 14 total practices in San Bernardino for the Bruins (full training camp schedule below).
The Bruins established a quick tempo right from the start of drills on day one of camp before a nice crowd on the athletic fields at CSUSB. The team practiced in helmets only, per the NCAA rules, as the temperatures peaked right around the 90-degree mark.
After meetings this evening, the squad will prepare for day two of camp in San Bernardino on Thursday with breakfast set to begin at 6:15 a.m., followed by meetings and morning lifts. The team will hit the practice field at 4:00 p.m.
UCLA opens the 2013 football season at home in the Rose Bowl on August 31 (7:00 p.m. PT). The Bruins then take to the road for game two and visit Nebraska (Sept.14, 9:00 a.m. PT). The Bruins return home on Sept. 21 to host New Mexico State (time tba). For ticket information call 310-UCLA-WIN or click HERE.
