UCLA senior tailback DeShaun Foster will not have his eligibility restored, as determined by the NCAA Student-Athlete Reinstatement Staff, UCLA announced today.
Foster was declared ineligible by UCLA on November 7 after it was determined that he had received an "extra benefit," a violation of NCAA rules. The NCAA had informed UCLA of the possible violation on November 6. UCLA and the NCAA jointly investigated the matter and UCLA submitted its report requesting reinstatement of Foster's eligibility to the NCAA on November 16.
UCLA was informed this afternoon by the NCAA of its decision.
