Against California, Havner made six tackles (three solo) but was at his best on special teams. In the second quarter, he blocked a 34-yard field goal attempt, and in the fourth quarter, he blocked a 41-yard field goal attempt that Brandon Chillar returned 65 yards for a touchdown. Havner's blocks were key in UCLA achieving a 23-20 overtime victory.
Havner, who was named the Pac-10 Special Teams Player of the Week, is believed to be the only Bruin ever to block two field goals in the same game.
This is Havner's first UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of his career.
