UCLA Game Notes
*With the win, UCLA takes the lead in the overall series, 3-2. UCLA has won the last three matchups by a combined score of 139-47.
*The win over the 23rd-ranked Cougars was UCLA's first over a ranked opponent since defeating No. 18 Tennessee at home, 27-24 in overtime, on Sept. 1, 2008. UCLA has now won seven of its last 12 home games played against AP-ranked opponents.
*UCLA's 31 points scored tonight was its most since defeating Washington State, 43-7, on Nov. 14, 2009.
*UCLA held Houston, which entered tonight's game ranked No. 1 in the nation with 61 points per game, to just 13 points, its lowest point output since scoring 13 on Dec. 28, 2007 in a 20-13 loss to TCU in the Texas Bowl.
*UCLA's four rushing touchdowns were the most since the Bruins rushed for four touchdowns vs. Washington State Nov. 14, 2009.
*The Bruins rushed for 266 yards tonight, the most by a UCLA team since rushing for 333 yards against Washington on Sept. 22, 2007.
*Redshirt sophomore tailback Johnathan Franklin recorded a career-high three touchdowns in the game and now has eight career touchdowns. He also rushed for a career-high 158 yards, marking the third time in his career he has rushed for over 100 yards.
*Franklin's 158 yards rushing mark the first time a UCLA player has rushed for 150+ yards since Chris Markey (193 yards) vs. Washington on Sept. 22, 2007.
*Sophomore quarterback Kevin Prince rushed for a 2-yard touchdown in the second quarter. It was his second rushing touchdown of the season. He finished the game with 60 yards rushing and 99 yards passing.
*Sophomore free safety Rahim Moore's 2nd quarter interception was the 14th interception of his career and first of the season. Moore is now tied for No. 4 on UCLA's career interceptions list with Eric Turner (1987-90), Marcus Turner (1985-88) and Don Rogers (1980-83).
*Linebacker Akeem Ayers' 2nd quarter interception was the fifth of his career.
*Kai Forbath's 42-yard field goal in the 3rd quarter was his 76th field goal made in his career. Forbath has made 45 of his last 49 field goal attempts and 41 of his last 42 attempts from inside 50 yards.
*Forbath had a field goal and four PATs on the night, improving his career scoring total to 308 points, which ranks fourth in school history.
*DB Anthony Jefferson became the ninth UCLA true freshman to play this season.
*Today's attendance: 54,407

Houston Game Notes
TEAM NOTES
** Houston fell to 84-91-3 (.475) all-time during the month of September.
** The Cougars did not score a touchdown on their opening drive for the first time in 2010.
** The three points scored by the Cougars in the first half was their lowest total in the opening 30 minutes since trailing 16-3 at Conference USA rival Marshall on Oct. 28, 2008.
** Houston fell to 90-35-3 (.715) when ranked in the Associated Press top 25.
** This is the second straight season that Houston has appeared in the AP top 25 poll... It is the 21st season that Houston has appeared in the AP top 25 poll.
** Houston fell to 1-1 when ranked No. 23 in the AP top 25 poll.
** This was the first time since Oct 17, 2009, that the Cougars were ranked No. 23 in the AP top 25 poll.

SERIES HISTORY vs. UCLA
** Houston fell to 2-3(.400) all-time against UCLA.
** Houston fell to 1-2 (.333) all-time against UCLA in Los Angeles.
** This was Houston's first game against UCLA since a 42-24 loss at Robertson Stadium on Sept. 19, 1998.
** Houston lost its third straight two game to UCLA in the all-time series...The Cougars have not defeated the Bruins since a 24-16 win in Los Angeles on Sept. 8, 1979.

SERIES HISTORY vs. PAC-10
** This was the Cougars' first game against a Pac-10 opponent since a 38-24 loss to Oregon on Sept. 1, 2005, at Reliant Stadium in Houston.
** The Cougars fell to 10-22 (.313) all-time against current members of the Pac-10.

HEAD COACH KEVIN SUMLIN NOTES
** Sumlin fell to 20-10 (.667) during his collegiate career.
** Saturday's game was Sumlin's first meeting against UCLA.
** Sumlin fell to 3-2 (.600) against teams from BCS automatic-qualifying conferences.
** Sumlin saw his winning streak against BCS automatic qualifying conferences snapped at three games... It was Sumlin's first loss against an automatic BCS qualifying team since a 56-37 loss to Oklahoma State on Sept. 6, 2008.
** Saturday's game was Sumlin's first game against a team from the Pac-10.

CASE KEENUM NOTES
** This was the first time in his collegiate career that Keenum played consecutive games without a touchdown pass.
** Keenum fell to 24-13 (.649) as the Cougars' starting quarterback during his career.
** Keenum's passing yardage total was the second lowest mark of his career... He threw for 81 yards against Tulsa on Nov. 10, 2007.
** With his 45-yard run around the 4:30 mark of the second quarter, Keenum recorded a career-long run... His run topped his previous long of 37 yards set against Air Force on Sept. 13, 2008, in Dallas.
** Keenum's punt around the 2:45 mark of the first quarter was the third punt of his career.
** With his 49-yard punt around the 2:45 mark of the first quarter, Keenum recorded a career long... He topped his previous long of 41 yards against Air Force during the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl on Dec. 31, 2009.

CASE KEENUM IN THE NCAA RECORDS BOOK
** With 10 completions, Keenum moved into seventh place in NCAA FBS career history... Keenum now has 1,118 completions during his career... He moved past Hawai'i's Colt Brennan (1,115, 2005-08) ... Up next in the NCAA records book is NC State's Philip Rivers, who completed 1,147 passes from 2000 to 2003.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
** With 144 receiving yards, senior wide receiver James Cleveland recorded the sixth 100-yard receiving game of his career... The Cougars are 3-3 during games in which Cleveland reaches triple digits.
** True freshman quarterback Terrance Broadway made his collegiate debut.
** For the first time in three games in 2010, junior running back Michael Hayes did not score the Cougars' first points.
** With six receptions, junior wide receiver Tyron Carrier recorded a catch in his 30th consecutive game.
** With his 48-yard pass to James Cleveland midway through the first quarter, junior wide receiver Tyron Carrier attempted and completed the first pass of his career.
** Senior linebacker Matt Nicholson's fumble recovery at the 3:54 mark of the second quarter was his second recovery in 2010 and the third of his career.
** Senior cornerback Loyce Means recorded his first interception of the 2010 season and the sixth of his career around the 0:20 mark of the second quarter.
** With two field goals, sophomore kicker Matt Hogan nailed his 15th and 16th consecutive field goals to open his career... Hogan has not missed a field goal during his career and extended his school record in that category.
** With two field goals, sophomore kicker Matt Hogan recorded his second multi-field goal game of the 2010 season... It also was the sixth multi-field goal game of his career.
