Vs. Oregon - UCLA leads the series with the Ducks 38-21 with the first meeting between the two schools taking place in 1928.

The Bruins and the Ducks did not meet in the 2005 season. The teams last met in the 2004 season in a game played in Eugene that was won by the Bruins, 34-26, snapping a four-game Oregon win streak in the series. Leading rusher Maurice Drew did not play in the game due to injury and his replacement, Chris Markey, earned Pac-10 Player of the Week honors after rushing for a then career-best 131 yards and making five receptions for 84 yards. UCLA led 21-10 at the half and after Oregon cut the Bruin lead to 24-20 in the second half, UCLA answered with an 83-yard pass play from Drew Olson to Junior Taylor. During the game Tab Perry became UCLA's all-time leader in both kickoff returns and kickoff return yardage.

The game marked only the second loss by Oregon at Autzen Stadium in the month of November under Mike Bellotti and made the Bruins bowl eligible.
