Nov. 22, 2011
Redshirt junior quarterback Kevin Prince (Los Angeles, CA/Crespi HS) of the UCLA football team was selected as the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 14-20.
Prince completed 15 of 19 passes for 225 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions in UCLA's 45-6 victory over Colorado. He was a perfect 7-for-7 on passes in the first quarter for 121 yards and two touchdowns and completed his first eight passes in the game. Prince also ran for 84 yards on 10 carries. His four touchdown passes were a career-best and the most by a Bruin since Ben Olson had five scoring passes in a game at Stanford in 2007, and his 309 yards of total offense were his most since he racked up 390 in a 2009 game vs. Washington State. Prince now has 293 career completions, which rank eighth on the all-time list, and he has rushed for 390 yards this season, the most by a Bruin quarterback since Jeff Dankworth ran for 815 in 1976.
This is Prince's second UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of his career.
