San Diego, Calif. - The UCLA football team had a busy day on Sunday, as festivities for the Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl officially got underway throughout San Diego.
The Bruins' day began with a morning practice at San Diego State University, where the team ran through a series of drills and workouts. Coach Jim Mora and several players were made available after practice for a brief media session, before the team hustled onto buses for the day's next event, a luncheon aboard the Navy's amphibious assualt ship USS Boxer. After the luncheon, players were led on tours throughout the ship and then headed out on deck to take pictures.
Following a return to the hotel, seven players, including Coach Mora, headed off to the Rady Children's Hospital to visit patients. The team signed footballs and handed out gifts to the children, who were also visited by members of the Baylor program.
