Senior running back Derrick Coleman (Fullerton, CA/Troy HS) of the UCLA football team was selected as the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Oct. 31-Nov. 6.
Coleman led UCLA to a 29-28 win over No. 20/18 Arizona State on Saturday, rushing for 119 yards on 17 carries. He also had two touchdowns, including one from one yard out with 49 seconds remaining during the game-winning drive. On the year, Coleman has 11 touchdowns (all rushing), which is the most by a Bruin since Maurice Jones-Drew scored 20 in 2005 (13 rushing). He also posted his third 100-yard game of the season and fourth of his career. Coleman also has a season-best total of 542 yards rushing.
This is Coleman's second UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of his career.
