Walnut Creek, Calif. - UCLA running back Johnathan Franklin was rewarded for his efforts in the team's win over Rice on Thursday, as he was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Franklin, a senior from Los Angeles, Calif., rushed for 214 yards on 15 carries (14.3 average) and tied his career high with three touchdowns in a 49-24 win at Rice. His three touchdowns came on runs of 74, 78 and 22 yards. He became the first UCLA back to record two runs of 72 yards or longer in a game and the fourth Bruin to log multiple 200-yard rushing performances. With 2,883 rushing yards in his career, Franklin is 32 yards shy of taking over 7th place on UCLA's all-time rushing list.
