Coach Mora put the team through the final two-a-day practices of camp on Tuesday. The morning workout was in shorts on Spaulding Field. "It was a good practice," said coach. "We got a little bit of work on our first opponent, but mostly situational work."
Coach Mora indicated he has been really happy with the play of the defensive line unit throughout the camp. It will be a rotation of eight or nine guys who play aggressive, fast and physical. Over the next two days, the team will focus in on their first opponent,Rice.
The team donned full gear in the evening session and did some game situational periods with special teams mixed in. "We got a lot of good work done tonight," said coach. "We even added crowd noise for the first time since the Spring." Freshman defensive back Randall Goforth had one of the big plays of the night with an interception on the goal line which he returned for a touchdown. The team will begin preparations, in earnest, for the first game of the season, when they take the field on Wednesday. Practices will no longer be open to the public.
