UCLA Notes
--The 51-yard field goal to end the first half by junior kicker Jeff Locke was the first field goal of his collegiate career in his first attempt. It was also the 30th field goal of 50 yards or more in UCLA history and the first time a Bruin kicker has made a 50-plus yard field goal in his first career attempt.
--The two touchdowns by senior running back Derrick Coleman mark his second career game with at least two scores (Washington State, 10/2/10)
--Redshirt freshman wide receiver Jordon James' reception in the third quarter was the first of his career.
--Senior linebacker Glenn Love and sophomore safety Dietrich Riley recorded their first collegiate starts.
--The sack by Texas' Emmanuel Acho in the fourth quarter was the first sack allowed by UCLA this season.

Texas Notes
• UT improved to 3-0 on the season. This marks the fifth straight year and ninth time in the 14 years under Mack Brown that the Longhorns have opened the season with at least three consecutive wins.
• Texas improved to 44-6 in games played in August/September under Mack Brown, including winning 37 of its last 41.
• Texas evened the all-time series against UCLA at three wins apiece. UT snapped a three-game losing streak to the Bruins and defeated UCLA for the first time since the 1971 season (28-10 at UCLA).
• Today's contest marked the fourth time in the last eight years that Texas has played in the Rose Bowl. UT improved to 3-1 in those games with the previous wins coming against Michigan in the 2005 Rose Bowl and USC in the 2006 BCS National Championship Game. The Horns' lone defeat came against Alabama in the 2009 BCS National Championship Game.
• Texas owned a 284-141 edge in rushing yardage.
• Texas converted 9-of-15 third-down conversions for the game. UT converted 7-of-9 third-down conversions in the first half.
• UT recorded all three of its interceptions in the first quarter.
• UT had a total of 23 players take offensive snaps (does not include extra point attempts) in the first quarter.
• Emmanuel Acho's sack of UCLA QB Richard Brehaut early in the fourth quarter marked the first sack allowed by the Bruins all season.
• Texas outscored UCLA 21-10 in the second half. The Longhorns have outscored their opponents by a 56-16 margin in the second half this season.
• Texas has NOT given up a single point in the fourth quarter in its last seven games.
• Texas held UCLA to 1-of-7 on 3rd down conversions in the second half. For the season, the Longhorns have held opponents to 2-of-18 on third down conversions in the second half.
• Texas owned a 234-155 advantage in total offense in the second half against UCLA. The Longhorns have outgained their opponents 743-328 in the second half this season.
