For the third time this season, junior midfielder Leo Stolz has been named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week, as announced by the publication today.
Stolz finished the regular season with a strong performance at San Diego State, scoring two goals to lead the Bruins to a 3-0 win over the Aztecs. Stolz scored in the 41st minute with a diagonal shot to the bottom left-hand corner before adding another goal in the 58th minute off a rebound from a Victor Chavez shot. Overall, the Munich, Germany native leads the Pac-12 with 23 points and has scored a team-leading nine goals thus far.
The Bruins (11-3-4) have earned the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament and a first round bye. UCLA will host the winner of the Elon/Clemson first round match in the second round on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 8 p.m. out at Drake Stadium.
