The 16th-ranked UCLA swimming team travels to Pullman this weekend for a pair of dual meets at Washington State. Friday's competition starts at 5 p.m., while Saturday's portion of the meet begins at 11 a.m.
Friday's meet will feature 11 events and two relays. On Saturday, there will be 12 events and one relay.
The Bruins are coming off their sixth dual meet victory of the season, a 157-134 victory over #22 Utah at Spieker Aquatics Center last Saturday. UCLA had the best time in 12 of the 14 swimming events, including both relays. Seniors Ting Quah and Kathryn Murphy each won a pair of races, while seniors Lauren Baker and Anna Senko, junior Ally Loper, sophomores Katie Kinnear and Arlyn Upshaw and freshman Linnea Mack all had best times in events. Quah leads the Bruins with 10 individual event wins this season, followed by junior Noelle Tarazona (5), freshman Madison White (5) and Mack (4).
Washington State is 2-3 in dual meets this season, beating Idaho (152-142) on Oct. 19 and Seattle (176-80) on Nov. 1. The Cougars have lost all three of their Pac-12 meets to Stanford (147-104) on Oct. 3, California (164-89) on Oct. 4 and USC (146-116) on Oct. 18. The Cougars have been off from competition since the Hawkeye Invitational (Dec. 6-8) in Iowa City.
