IRVINE - Noelle Tarazona was second in the B Final of the 100 Butterfly, finishing 10th overall, during the third day of the Phillips 66 U.S. National Championships on Friday at William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Complex.

Tarazona set a personal best in the evening race with a 59.71, improving on her 1:00.05 time in the morning preliminaries, which was tied for the 13th-best mark. Katie Kinnear was 16th in the morning with a 1:00.19 and had a slight improvement to 1:00.18 to finish sixth in the B race and 14th overall. Linnea Mack also swam in the 100 Fly and had a 1:02.75 in the prelims.

Mack pulled double duty on Friday, also swimming in the 50 Backstroke. She improved from a 29.71 in the morning to a personal-best 29.63 in the C Final (18 and under only), placing 21st overall. Madison White just missed making the B Final, posting the 21st-best time in the morning at 29.60.

Day four of the Nationals is on Saturday, as the Bruins will be represented in two of the three individual events. Katy Campbell, Ally Loper and Kacey Milligan will swim in the 400 Freestyle and Mack and White will take part in the 100 Back.
