ALBUQUERQUE – The UCLA track and field team wrapped up its indoor campaign Saturday at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the Albuquerque Convention Center.
Marcus Nilsson highlighted the final day of the championship for the Bruins as he placed eighth in the heptathlon with a personal best 5,760 points. It was his third straight appearance at the meet and his highest career finish.
Mike Woepse placed 13th in the pole vault with a clearance of 17-4.50. Kelsey Smith placed 16th in the 3,000m with a time of 9:44.91.
UCLA will open its outdoor season with a home dual meet against Pac-12 foe Washington State. The two teams will meet on Saturday, March 22 at Drake Stadium.
