FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – On a light day for the Bruins on the track, the small group made the most of their opportunity as Nick Hartle advanced to the NCAA Championships and another two will move on to competition on Saturday.
Hartle, running the 800m for the second straight day punched his first ever ticket to the NCAA Championships as he placed second in his heat with a time of 1:48.61, Friday evening at John McDonnell Field.
In the 100m hurdle prelims, junior Brea Buchanan and sophomore Trinity Wilson advanced to the semifinals on Saturday by each placing second in their respective heat. Buchanan posted a 13.51 while Wilson posted a 13.68.
The final day of the NCAA West Prelims will begin for the Bruins at 1 p.m. PT in the men’s discus. The action on the track will start at 4 p.m. CT with the men’s 4x100m relay.
