In one of the most pressure-packed situations of his young college career, Di Giulio picked up a huge victory at No. 6 singles on Sunday to help the Bruins register a 4-3 victory over No. 3 Georgia at the Pac-12/SEC Challenge. With the dual match tied at 3-3, Di Giulio downed Georgia senior Hernus Pieters, 6-0, 5-6(7), 6-4 to give the Bruins a thrilling 4-3 victory over the Bulldogs. The win helped UCLA remain undefeated on the season at 5-0. The previous day, Di Giulio and partner Clay Thompson picked up the lone doubles win for the Bruins against Florida, downing Maxx Lipman and Gordon Watson, 6-3, at court No. 2. UCLA would go on to win that dual match 4-1. This is Di Giulio's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of his career.
Anderson's block came in the final second of the game, with UCLA leading 70-68 after a Travis Wear basket gave the Bruins the lead with 5.3 seconds to play. The Ducks drove the length of the court, but Anderson blocked Johnathan Loyd's jump shot just before the buzzer.
