Ojai, Calif. - Top-seeded Jennifer Brady of UCLA moved into the semifinals of the singles draw at the Pac-12 Championships on Friday, posting a straight-set victory in the quaterfinals at the Ojai Valley Athletic Club. UCLA's Courtney Dolehide and Chanelle Van Nguyen also notched a victory to move into the semifinals of the doubles draw.

Brady, who has yet to lose a set in the tournament, recorded a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Cal's Denise Starr on Friday. She will face another Cal player on Saturday, as fifth-seeded Lynn Chi awaits Brady in the semifinals. That match will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Ojai's Libbey Park. Brady is aiming to become the second UCLA freshman in as many years to win the singles title at Ojai, following 2013 winner Kyle McPhillips.

Van Nguyen was defeated in the quarterfinals on Friday, suffering a 7-6(1), 6-1 loss to USC's sixth-seeded Zoe Scandalis.

In the main doubles draw, Dolehide and Van Nguyen downed third-seeded Taylor Davidson and Ellen Tsay of Stanford, 8-6 in the quarterfinals. Next up is a meeting with USC's Kaitlyn Christian and Giuliana Olmos on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. That match will also take place at Libbey Park.

In the women's open draw, fourth-seeded Kelly Shaffer of UCLA lost in the second round on Friday to Tanya Raykova, 6-2, 6-0.
