#17 UCLA HOSTS FINAL REGULAR SEASON HOMESTAND
The 17th-ranked Bruins (33-15, 9-9 Pac-12) entertain #13 Arizona (32-14, 9-9) this weekend in their final regular-season homestand at Easton Stadium. Game times are Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 12 p.m. Gametracker and free audio will be available at UCLABruins.com, as well as live updates at twitter.com/uclasoftball.

BRUINS ON THE TUBE
Friday's game will be broadcast on tape delay by Fox Sports Net with Anne Marie Anderson and former Bruin great Amanda Freed at the call. The first airing will be Sunday night at 8 p.m. on FSN Prime Ticket.

ON DECK
The regular season comes to an end next weekend as the Bruins travel to Eugene for a three-game set with Oregon. Game times are Thursday, May 10 and Friday, May 11 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, May 12 at 12 p.m. On Sunday, May 13 at 7 p.m., the 64-team field will be announced on the NCAA Selection Show on ESPNU.

BRUINS IN THE POLLS
The Bruins fell to 17th in both national polls this week. UCLA dropped two spots in the USA Today/NFCA poll, losing 75 points. In the ESPN.com/USA Softball rankings, the Bruins fell three spots and 41 points.

BRUINS IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Through games played on April 29, the Bruins are the nation's leader in slugging percentage at .604 and are also in the Top 10 in four other categories. UCLA is second in batting average (.350), third in home runs (75), fifth in doubles (80) and sixth in runs per game (6.88). Individually, freshman Stephany LaRosa is in the Top 25 nationally in five categories, ranking fifth in batting average (.459), tied for ninth in runs batted in (57), tied for 12th in sacrifice flies (4), 15th in slugging percentage (.847) and tied for 22nd in home runs (15). Senior Katie Schroeder is tied for ninth in runs scored (54), 17th in on base percentage (.540), 24th in batting average (.427) and tied for 27th in doubles (14). Also in the Top 50 nationally in their respective categories are seniors Samantha Camuso (slugging, .737, T-40th), Andrea Harrison (home runs, 14, T-30th) and Dani Yudin (walks, 37, T-26th), and sophomore Jessica Hall (saves, 4, T-13th).

NEWS AND NOTES
Head coach Kelly Inouye-Perez recorded her 250th-career coaching victory against Utah on April 20 ... with the April 21 win versus the Utes, the Bruins won their 400th Pac-10/12 game ... along with their Pac-12-best .350 batting average (through April 29), the Bruins are also first in the conference in slugging (.604), hits (449), doubles (80), home runs (75) and total bases (774). The full listing of UCLA team and individual standings in the Pac-12 is available on page five of this release ... the Bruins saw their 87-game winning streak when scoring at least six runs come to an end in the first game of the April 10 doubleheader against Stanford. It was the most runs for UCLA in a defeat since May 6, 2000 at Arizona (lost 12-9 in nine innings). Since seeing the streak snapped, the Bruins are 5-0 when scoring at least six runs ... UCLA is 20-0 this season when limiting its opponent to two runs or fewer ... the Bruins are 21-0 when leading after five innings and 20-0 when leading after six. Since 2008, UCLA is 143-1 when ahead after five (only loss vs. Florida, 2/25/11) and 132-1 when ahead after six (Washington, 4/23/11) ... 37 of the Bruins' 75 home runs have been solo shots. The third inning has been the best for homers, as the Bruins have 22, with the first frame ranking second with 18 dingers ... senior Katie Schroeder is in the UCLA career top 10 in seven categories, ranking second in runs scored (194), third in stolen bases (49), fourth in on base percentage (.480), walks (114) and hit by pitches (30), sixth in hits (266) and seventh in batting average (.376). Senior Andrea Harrison is listed six times, coming in at fourth in slugging (.663), home runs (54) and total bases (453), fifth in runs batted in (184), sixth in doubles (47) and seventh in hit by pitches (19). Senior Dani Yudin is third in walks (115), sixth in on base percentage (.443) and eighth in hit by pitches (18), senior Samantha Camuso is 10th in slugging (.591) and sophomore Jessica Hall is third in saves (6) ... freshman Ally Carda has earned a win and produced at least a pair of hits in the same game six times (Loyola Marymount, Fordham, Pittsburgh, UC Santa Barbara, Cal Poly, Stanford-Game 3) ... Camuso hit her 10th homer of the year on April 20 against Utah to give her 30 for her career and her second double-digit homer season (16 in 2010) ... sophomore Talee Snow has reached base in 25 of her last 29 games and is hitting 91 points better from her freshman to sophomore season (.239 to .330) ... Stephany LaRosa's 15 home runs are the second most by a freshman in a single season at UCLA. Stacey Nuveman holds the record with 20 in 1997 ... Hall's four saves tie her for second on UCLA's single-season list with Christa Williams (1997). Megan Langenfeld holds the record with five saves in 2008 ... Harrison is one homer away from tying for third in UCLA history (Caitlin Benyi, 55). She has reached double figures in dingers for the third straight season ... junior B.B. Bates leads the Bruins with nine game-winning RBI and seven game-winning runs scored, and is one homer shy of 30 for her career ... sophomore Kellie Fox recorded her fourth-career, three-hit game in the first end of an April 10 doubleheader against Stanford ... Schroeder, who had the 700th at-bat of her career last Friday, is two doubles away from 40 and one steal shy of 50 ... sophomore Alyssa Tiumalu hit her 10th career home run on April 20 against Utah ... Yudin is one RBI away from 100 for her career.

SCOUTING THE ARIZONA WILDCATS
After winning its first two Pac-12 series' against Stanford and Washington, the Wildcats have dropped two of three to California and Oregon. Last weekend at home versus the Ducks, Arizona gave up 23 runs in a pair of losses before winning 5-4 in eight innings to close the weekend. The Wildcats are hitting .300 as a team with 65 home runs and 45 stolen bases, averaging 5.9 runs per game. Four players are hitting over .300, led by Hallie Wilson's .357 average. Shelby Pendley is tops on the team with 17 homers and 47 RBI and second with a .343 average. Lini Koria is second with 14 homers to go with a .341 average, while Chelsea Suitos is hitting .328 with 12 stolen bases. In Pac-12 play, the Wildcats are batting .269 with 20 homers and 14 steals, averaging 4.5 runs per game. Wilson is batting .368 with a homer and eight RBI, Pendley is hitting .310 with three homers and 10 RBI and Koria has a team-best six home runs and 13 runs batted in. In the circle, Kenzie Fowler and Shelby Babcock have split the action. Fowler is 14-6 with a 2.80 earned run average and 158 strikeouts in 130 innings, while Babcock is 16-8 with a 2.28 ERA and 122 strikeouts in 151 2/3 innings. In Pac-12 play, Fowler is 5-5 with a 4.11 ERA and 48 strikeouts in 47 2/3 innings, while Babcock is 4-4 with a 4.29 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 65 1/3 innings.

THE MATCHUP: BRUINS VS. WILDCATS
The Bruins lead the all-time series with the Wildcats 71-53 and are 36-20 at home. Last year, Arizona took two of three from UCLA (May 6-8), winning the first two contests 5-1 and 7-1. The Bruins took the final game of the series 5-1 behind a combined six-hitter by Destiny Rodino and Jessica Hall. Devon Lindvall and Alyssa Tiumalu each hit home runs. The Bruins are 7-3 in the last 10 matchups with the Wildcats.
