REGULAR SEASON WRAPS UP FOR #14 UCLA AT #12 OREGON
The 14th-ranked Bruins (35-16, 11-10 Pac-12) travel to Eugene to face #12 Oregon (37-14, 11-8) for their final series of the regular season. Game times are Thursday and Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 12 p.m. Gametracker will be available at UCLABruins.com, as well as live updates at twitter.com/uclasoftball.

ON DECK
The 64-team field for the NCAA Tournament will be announced on ESPNU on Sunday at 7 p.m. Regionals start at 16 campus sites next weekend.

BRUINS IN THE POLLS
The Bruins moved up three spots to 14th in this week's USA Today/NFCA poll and two spots to 15th in the latest ESPN.com/USA Softball rankings. UCLA received 76 more points in the NFCA poll and 26 additional points in the USA Softball rankings.

BRUINS IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Through games played on May 6, the Bruins are the nation's leader in slugging percentage at .599 and are also in the Top 10 in four other categories. UCLA is third in batting average (.349) and home runs (79), sixth in runs per game (6.92) and tied for seventh in doubles (83). Individually, freshman Stephany LaRosa is in the Top 25 nationally in five categories, ranking sixth in batting average (.455), tied for eighth in runs batted in (60), tied for 15th in sacrifice flies (4), 16th in slugging percentage (.842) and tied for 20th in home runs (16). Senior Katie Schroeder is tied for ninth in runs scored (57), 17th in on base percentage (.532), 33rd in batting average (.415) and tied for 38th in doubles (14). Also in the Top 50 nationally in their respective categories are seniors Samantha Camuso (slugging, .764, 38th), Andrea Harrison (home runs, 14, T-41st) and Dani Yudin (walks, 40, 26th), and sophomore Jessica Hall (saves, 4, T-14th).

NEWS AND NOTES
Head coach Kelly Inouye-Perez recorded her 250th-career coaching victory against Utah on April 20 ... with the April 21 win versus the Utes, the Bruins won their 400th Pac-10/12 game ... along with their Pac-12-best .349 batting average (through May 6), the Bruins are also first in the conference in slugging (.599), hits (474), doubles (83), home runs (79) and total bases (814). The full listing of UCLA team and individual standings in the Pac-12 is available on page five of this release ... the Bruins saw their 87-game winning streak when scoring at least six runs come to an end in the first game of the April 10 doubleheader against Stanford. It was the most runs for UCLA in a defeat since May 6, 2000 at Arizona (lost 12-9 in nine innings). UCLA lost again on Sunday against Arizona when scoring six and are now 94-2 in its last 96 when scoring at least a half a dozen ... UCLA is 21-0 this season when limiting its opponent to two runs or fewer ... the Bruins are 23-0 when leading after five innings and 22-0 when leading after six. Starting with the 2008 season, UCLA is 145-1 when ahead after five (only loss vs. Florida, 2/25/11) and 134-1 when ahead after six (Washington, 4/23/11) ... the Bruins are 0-12 this year when getting out-hit or tied in hits ... 38 of the Bruins' 79 home runs have been solo shots. The third inning has been the best for homers, as the Bruins have 23, with the first frame ranking second with 19 dingers ... senior Katie Schroeder is in the UCLA career top 10 in seven categories, ranking second in runs scored (197), third in stolen bases (49), tied for third in hit by pitches (32), fourth in on base percentage (.479) and walks (115), sixth in hits (268) and tied for seventh in batting average (.374). Senior Andrea Harrison is listed six times, coming in at fourth in slugging (.663), home runs (54) and total bases (460), fifth in runs batted in (187), sixth in doubles (48) and seventh in hit by pitches (19). Senior Dani Yudin is third in walks (118), tied for sixth in on base percentage (.443) and eighth in hit by pitches (18), senior Samantha Camuso is tied for seventh in slugging (.600) and sophomore Jessica Hall is third in saves (6) ... freshman Ally Carda has earned a win and produced at least a pair of hits in the same game six times (Loyola Marymount, Fordham, Pittsburgh, UC Santa Barbara, Cal Poly, Stanford-Game 3) ... Camuso recorded her first-career, two-homer game on May 6 against Arizona. She has 32 for her career and double figures for the second time in her career (16 in 2010) ... sophomore Talee Snow is hitting 67 points better from her freshman to sophomore season (.239 to .306) ... Stephany LaRosa's 16 home runs are the second most by a freshman in a single season at UCLA. Stacey Nuveman holds the record with 20 in 1997. Nuveman also holds the UCLA single-season freshman mark in average (.457) and RBI (71), with LaRosa at .455 with 60 RBI ... Hall's four saves tie her for second on UCLA's single-season list with Christa Williams (1997). Megan Langenfeld holds the record with five saves in 2008 ... Harrison is one homer away from tying for third in UCLA history (Caitlin Benyi, 55). She has reached double figures in dingers for the third straight season ... junior B.B. Bates leads the Bruins with nine game-winning RBI and seven game-winning runs scored, and is one homer shy of 30 for her career ... sophomore Kellie Fox recorded her fourth-career, three-hit game in the first end of an April 10 doubleheader against Stanford ... Schroeder, who had the 700th at-bat of her career on April 27 at Cal, is two doubles away from 40 and one steal shy of 50 ... sophomore Alyssa Tiumalu hit her 11th career home run on May 4 against Arizona ... Yudin is one RBI away from 100 for her career.

SCOUTING THE OREGON DUCKS
Oregon used its Pac-12 bye week to host ninth-ranked Missouri last weekend, winning the middle game of the three-game set 8-3, but falling 5-4 and 7-3 in the other contests. In their last Pac-12 series, the Ducks won 2-of-3 with Arizona, scoring 23 runs in their victories. Oregon is hitting .316 as a team with 56 home runs and 59 stolen bases, averaging 6.1 runs per game. Junior Samantha Pappas leads the way with a .401 average and 14 stolen bases, adding seven homers and 32 RBI. Seven others are hitting .300 or better. Junior Kaylan Howard (.329) is first on the squad with 11 homers, while sophomore Kailee Cuico (.313) is first with 47 RBI. In Pac-12 play, the Ducks are hitting .305 with 25 homers and 18 stolen bases, averaging 5.7 runs per game. Cuico is pacing the team with a .362 average, five homers and 15 RBI. In the circle, junior Jessica Moore is 25-11 with a 2.30 earned run average and 196 strikeouts in 225 innings. Freshman Karissa Hovinga is 12-3 with a 3.12 ERA and 68 strikeouts in 116 2/3 innings. Moore is 10-5 in conference play with a 3.34 ERA and 71 strikeouts in 88 innings, while Hovinga is 1-3 with a 4.11 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 44 1/3 innings.

THE MATCHUP: BRUINS VS. DUCKS
The Bruins lead the all-time series with the Ducks 71-14, but Oregon took two of three in Eugene last year. UCLA won the middle contest 7-4, but fell 6-5 and 5-0 in the other two games. The Bruins had won 15 straight games against the Ducks prior to the loss last year and are 34-7 all-time in Eugene.
