LEXINGTON, Ky. - Junior Karsta Lowe was named American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) First Team All-Pacific South Region on Tuesday. It is the first All-Region award for Lowe, the 55th in school history and UCLA's 42nd First Team honor.
Lowe, who was named All-Pac-12 First Team last week, led the Bruins with 4.31 kills and 4.68 points per set. The junior was also second with a .290 hitting percentage to go with 0.61 blocks and 0.75 digs per set. Lowe had double figures in kills in 29 of 30 matches, including each of the last 24 contests of the year, and ended the regular season ranked 25th in the nation in kps and 32nd in pps. Lowe surpassed the 20-kill mark eight times and hit at least .400 in a match on seven occasions.
