Womens Golfers Fall to Seventh at New Mexico Tournament

The UCLA womens golf team, ranked 23rd nationally in the preseason MasterCard poll, fell to seventh place in the Dick McGuire Invitational after the second round. The Bruins, who began the day tied for second place, shot 320 today as a team and trail sixth place New Mexico by two shots. UCLAs 36-hole total of 624 is 40 over par and 12 shots behind tournament leader USC.

Individually, junior Alexandra Gasser rebounded with an even par 73 and is tied with teammate Leilani Bagby in 14th place at 153, seven over par. Sophomore Julie Oh is tied for 23rd at 156 and junior Amanda Moltke-Leth is tied for 57th at 162, 16 over par.

Action continues tomorrow with the final round at the UNM Championship Course.
