LOS ANGELES - Senior Dicey McGraw registered 23 kills, one off a career high, while junior Lainey Gera posted 27 digs, as the 10th-ranked Bruins knocked off #20 Arizona in four sets on Saturday at Collins Court in the Wooden Center. Set scores were 25-19, 21-25, 25-17, 25-14.

The Bruins improve to 19-7 overall and 9-6 in Pac-10 play, while the Wildcats fall to 18-9 and 7-7 in league action.

Sophomore Bojana Todorovic recorded a double-double, her third of the season, with 10 kills and 11 digs to go along with three aces. Sophomore Rachael Kidder was also in double figures in kills with 14, while junior Katie Camp added 11, hitting .409 with only two errors in 22 swings to go with five blocks. Junior Lauren Van Orden had 49 assists and eight digs, freshman Kelly Reeves notched 13 digs and junior Sara Sage totaled seven kills in just two sets with only one error in 11 swings (.545). The Bruins hit .304 for the match.

The Wildcats scored two of the first three points of the match, but the lead would be short-lived, as the Bruins came back with four in a row to go ahead 5-2. After an Arizona service error, McGraw had three consecutive kills to put UCLA up by three. After an Arizona sideout, a McGraw kill and a Van Orden ace brought the lead to four at 7-3. Despite giving up four of the next five to see their lead cut to one, the Bruins would not relinquish the advantage for the rest of the set. UCLA responded with a 3-0 run on kills by freshman Mariana Aquino, Todorovic and Camp to go back up by four at 11-7.

Still leading 11-9, the Bruins netted five in a row on successive kills by Todorovic, Kidder and Camp, a Todorovic ace and another kill by Kidder to give them a set-best lead of seven at 16-9. The Wildcats rallied with four in a row to cut their deficit to three at 16-13, but could get no closer. With the Bruins up 22-19, kills by Todorovic and Kidder gave the home squad set point and Todorovic clinched it with an ace to post a 25-19 victory. McGraw had seven kills and no errors in 11 swings in the opening set to pace UCLA. Camp and Todorovic added four kills apiece, Kidder notched three and Gera produced nine digs. Despite dropping the set, the Wildcats out-hit the Bruins .364 to .295.

The Bruins jumped out to a 6-1 lead to open the second set. Kills by McGraw and Camp and a Camp/Van Orden combo block gave UCLA its first three points, and following an Arizona sideout, consecutive kills by Camp, Van Orden and McGraw put the Bruins up by five. The Bruins still led 8-3, but the Wildcats netted five in a row to even the score at eight. UCLA responded with three straight and five of six to take a 13-9 edge. Kills from Kidder and Todorovic and an ace by Aquino made it 11-8. One Arizona sideout later, Camp and Todorovic teamed up for a block and a Kidder kill extended the advantage to four.

The Wildcats hung tough though and eventually took their first lead at 16-15. Down 17-16, the Bruins received consecutive kills from Todorovic and Reeves to take the lead back at 18-17. UCLA still led 19-18, but Arizona tallied back-to-back points to go ahead 20-19. The Bruins tied it at 20 and 21-all after kills by Todorovic and Camp, but the Wildcats notched the last four points of the set to take the second 25-21. McGraw paced the Bruins again with five kills, Todorovic added four and Camp and Kidder had three apiece. Reeves had seven digs in the second, as the Bruins were out-hit .310 to .268.

The Bruins never trailed in the third set to go up 2-1 in the match. UCLA posted five of the first six points on two kills by Kidder, one apiece from Camp and Sage and an Arizona attack error. The Wildcats rallied with a 6-3 run to get to within one at 8-7, but could not tie the score. Up 11-10, the Bruins notched four in a row on a kill by Sage and three straight Arizona attack errors. The Wildcats sided out the next point, but a kill by Todorovic and a solo block from Camp made it 17-11.

The Wildcats closed to within three following a 5-2 run to make it 19-16, but an Arizona attack error and two straight kills by McGraw extended the Bruins' advantage to six at 22-16. The Wildcats sided out the next point, but kills by McGraw and Kidder gave the Bruins set point and the home team won it after a bad Arizona set to post a 25-17 triumph. McGraw led the Bruins with six kills, Kidder added four and Camp and Sage posted three apiece. The Bruins out-hit the Wildcats .289 to .075.

UCLA also didn't trail in the fourth set to finish off the victory. Leading 4-3, the Bruins went on a 6-2 run to take a 10-5 advantage. Back-to-back kills by McGraw made it 6-3, and after an Arizona sideout, consecutive kills from Sage put UCLA ahead 8-4. One more sideout later, a Todorovic kill and a Kidder/Sage combo block extended the lead to five. Arizona rallied with a 4-1 run to cut its deficit to a pair at 11-9, but a 4-0 run by UCLA put the home squad back up by six. Three straight kills by Kidder and a Todorovic ace made it 15-9.

The Wildcats got no closer than five the rest of the way. On top 16-11, the Bruins rallied with four in a row to take a 20-11 advantage.
