CORVALLIS, Ore. - Junior Rachael Kidder had a double-double with 18 kills and 11 digs, junior Tabi Love added 13 kills and senior Lainey Gera recorded 21 digs, as the top-ranked Bruins rebounded from Friday's loss with a four-set win at Oregon State on Saturday. Set scores were 25-17, 18-25, 25-16, 25-18.

The Bruins improve to 23-4 overall and 16-3 in Pac-12 play, while the Beavers fall to 14-14 and 6-12 in league.

Kidder added five blocks, as the Bruins had 10 as a team and hit .255 for the match. Senior Katie Camp posted nine kills and five blocks, sophomore Kelly Reeves had seven kills and 10 digs and senior Sara Sage tallied six kills. Senior Lauren Van Orden added 47 assists and seven digs, while junior Bojana Todorovic had 13 digs.

The Bruins never trailed in taking the first set. After the teams traded the first 12 points, and then each went on a 2-0 run to tie it at 8-all, the Bruins scored six of the next seven to take a five-point lead. A Reeves kill, a Camp/Reeves combo block and an OSU attack error made it 11-8. After a Beaver sideout, an OSU service error, a Kidder solo block and an Oregon State attack error made it 14-9.

The Beavers cut their deficit to a pair at 18-16, but the Bruins scored seven of the last eight points to win the opener 25-17. Back-to-back kills by Love and Reeves started the run, and after an OSU sideout, Kidder scored the final five points on four kills and a combo block with freshman Zoë Nightingale. Kidder had six kills and no errors in 11 attempts (.545) in the opening set, Reeves added four kills and Love posted three. The Bruins out-hit the Beavers .467 to .206.

The second set was the exact opposite of the first, as the Beavers never trailed to even the match. Oregon State held a 14-10 edge, but the Bruins scored six of the next eight to tie things at 16. Kidder had two kills during the run, Reeves added a kill, Nightingale posted a block and Oregon State committed two errors. However, it was all Oregon State after that, as the home squad netted nine of the last 11 points to win the second 25-18. Love and Kidder each had four kills, with Kidder adding seven digs. The Bruins were out-hit .242 to .100.

The pattern reversed itself again in the third, as the Bruins led wire-to-wire. UCLA went on runs of 3-1 and 7-2 to start the set, as the Bruins benefitted from four Oregon State errors, while Sage contributed on the other three points with a kill and a pair of combo blocks with Kidder. The Beavers rallied with a 6-1 run to tie the score at eight, but the Bruins scored 11 of the next 13 and the rout was on.

Leading 11-10, the Bruins scored eight straight. Kidder had four kills during the run, Camp added a kill and two combo blocks with Kidder and Reeves and Todorovic notched an ace. The Beavers got as close as six at 22-16, but the Bruins scored the last three points on back-to-back kills by Kidder and Love and an ace by sophomore Meg Norton to win it 25-16. Kidder had six kills in the third, while Camp and Sage added three apiece. Gera posted six digs and Todorovic had five. The Bruins out-hit the Beavers .242 to .086.

It appeared as if we were headed to a fifth set, as the Beavers held early leads of 5-2 and 7-4. But UCLA came back with five of the next six to take a 9-8 edge. A Sage kill and a Camp/Van Orden combo block got the Bruins to within one, and after a OSU sideout, three in a row for UCLA on a Beaver attack error, a Van Orden ace and a Camp kill made it 9-8. Oregon State then came back with a 9-4 run of its own to take a 17-13 advantage, as it again looked like we were going to a fifth.

But the Bruins stole the Beavers' momentum with a 9-0 run to take a 22-17 advantage. Oregon State gave the Bruins six points on errors, Love added two kills and Sage had one spike. The Beavers sided out, but the Bruins scored the last three of the set on kills by Sage and Love and another OSU attack error to win it 25-18. Love had five kills in the fourth set, while Sage added three. Gera had nine digs and Reeves added five. The Bruins out-hit the Beavers .263 to .103.

The Bruins' final three regular-season matches will be at the John Wooden Center, where they are 9-0 this season. UCLA will take on Arizona on Friday at 7 p.m. and Arizona State on Sunday at 1 p.m.
