Brynn Murphy returns to her alma mater in 2010 as the director of volleyball operations. Murphy was a four-year letterwinner at UCLA from 2001-04 and was twice named to the All-Pacific-10 Conference team.

Murphy earned first-team All-Pac-10 honors as a junior after leading the 2003 squad with 454 kills, 1,089 total attacks and a .286 hitting percentage, while tying for the team lead with 25 aces. She was named Pac-10 Player of the Week on Oct. 6, 2003. Murphy also received honorable mention all-conference accolades as a senior, again leading the Bruins in kills with 351. In her first year in Westwood, she was recognized on the All-Pac-10 Freshman Team.

Murphy ranks 18th in UCLA history with 1,242 kills and 10th with 335 block assists. She also had a .278 hitting percentage, 52 service aces, 345 digs and 373 total blocks. Murphy played in 126 matches and 428 sets.

After her playing days in Westwood, Murphy joined the UCLA coaching staff in 2005 as an undergraduate assistant. She then moved on to Gonzaga, where she was a volunteer coach in '07 and '08 before earning full-time assistant status in 2009. Murphy has also coached multiple club teams, including South Bay Volleyball Club in Carson, Calif. and Splash Volleyball Club in Spokane, Wash.

Murphy earned her bachelor of arts degree in history from UCLA in 2005 and achieved her master's in sports and athletic administration from Gonzaga in 2010.
