Former UCLA pitcher Trevor Bauer has been named the No. 3 overall prospect in the Cleveland Indians' minor league organization by Baseball America, as announced today in the publication's ongoing rankings of top-10 prospects by team.

After being selected No. 3 overall by Arizona in the 2011 MLB Draft, Bauer was traded to Cleveland in December of 2012. He made 22 starts for AAA Columbus in 2013, going 6-7 with a 4.15 ERA. He also fanned 106 batters in 121.1 innings pitched and tossed one complete game for Clippers back on July 22. Bauer made his Indians debut on April 6 of last year and logged four starts for the big league club, posting a 1-2 record with 11 strikeouts in 17 innings. He had previously seen Major League action with Arizona, making four starts in 2012, and was named the Diamondbacks' Minor League Pitcher of the Year for 2012.

During his three seasons at UCLA, Bauer set numerous records and had one of the most impressive careers of any UCLA pitcher. He accumulated a school record 34 wins, 460 strikeouts and 373.1 innings pitched in his three years as a Bruin, establishing a single-season record 203 strikeouts in 2011. As a starter, Bauer went 32-5 in his UCLA career and became the school's first ever Golden Spikes Award winner in 2011.
