Los Angeles, Calif. - 16 UCLA baseball players have finished competing in some of the most prestigious amateur summer leagues from around the country.

Three players, incoming freshmen Ty Moore and James Kaprielian and sophomore Kevin Kramer, helped lead their teams to summer league titles. Moore and Kaprielian led the Wenatchee Applesox to their fifth West Coast League championship while Kramer led the La Crosse Loggers to the Northwoods League championship. This is the third time in the last four years in which a UCLA ballplayer has led the Wenatchee Applesox to the West Coast League title, with Cody Keefer leading the Applesox to a title in 2009 and Trevor Brown and Zack Weiss leading the team to another championship in 2010.

Sophomore David Berg and junior Adam Plutko each spent the summer competing for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team, traveling to countries such as Cuba and The Netherlands to compete against other countries around the world.
