In his only season playing for the Bruins, he established UCLA's single-season assists record (256), the third-highest single-season assist total in Pac-12 history. Drew II was also honored with the UCLA Alumni Association Award as the team's assist leader.

Freshman guard Jordan Adams was presented with the Irv Pohlmeyer Memorial Award as the team's outstanding defensive player, in addition to earning the Bob "Ace" Calkins Memorial Award as the Bruins' top free throw shooter. Adams finished the season second on the team with 15.3 points per game and added 3.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and a team-leading 2.2 steals per contest. Freshman guard/forward Kyle Anderson earned the Gerald A. Finerman Award as the team's leading rebounder. Anderson logged 9.7 points, 8.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. His 302 total rebounds were the highest single-season total by any UCLA freshman since Kevin Love collected 415 rebounds (10.6 rpg) in 2007-08. Anderson was the only Pac-12 player in 2012-13 to rank in the top 10 in both rebounds and assists.
